Hi ... and an Update on New Physio

Hi there, just wanted to say hi.. I'm doing alright hanging in there, no news yet on the appt for the MRS, I did call the hospital and they were rude and just said it will be months??  That's when I kind of went into a depression and didn't feel like thinking about anything... I use my walker a few time now and enjoy it.  I will be using it more as well... not getting carried away with it. hehehe

my Vertigo spells has subsided abit now, thank goodness.  But I find my legs, mostly left one is very weak and heavy.. even with the walker.  I find after any type of activity, my legs get weak, numb and achy... burning patches... not too sore, but bothersome enough to use a heating pad and massage them. This is almost nightly...unless I'm on the couch most of the day...which happens after I go for a car ride with my hubby or shopping etc.

My vision is still bad, in the morning I find they are sore to open, any light causes pain.  It feels like my eyeball is pounding?  and sore behind the eye?

still having electric, tingling in left leg and toes.  Burning on top of my rigt foot, for about 20 min then gone?

I went to the new Physio therapist today, she seems very good.... she asked all sorts of questions.. took some Neuro test..like touch finger to nose then her finger.. and reflexes..

she concors that I have left sided weakness still and the nose test was positive?  my reflexes were brisk worst on left then right...pretty well same as what the Neuros have said.... she asked me to walk with my cane..noticed I use it on the left side..same as my left sore leg...she said NO...use it on the right side if you left leg is the problem???

I didn't know that.. she did a few excercises.. and tests to see my strength.. I felt finally have someone that will work my body and see if they can help with this weakness.  I will be going back after her vacation next week.  I do have homework... She also said I do not have Bursitis in my shoulder it is now a Frozen Shoulder...so I have some excercises for that..

well, enough about me.. I see alot of new people...Welcome... I have just been away for awhile..I'm hoping to be back now... thanks to all my friends here.

hope all is well as can be expected

take care

Hi there... changing the cane to the right hand is very difficult... but I don't think or hope it will take long to figure it out.. my legs and cane want to go together...hehehehe

I think I will call the MS clinic and let them know the Hospital said it will take MONTHS, when the MS clinic said I should get an appt time for this test in about 3 weeks...it's been 4 weeks now..still no phone call from the hospital for the appt.. I guess I'm on the bottom of the list and it's not a priority..??  Doesn't surprise me at all, not life threatening, so I can wait...that's the way this system goes.. unless you in the ER..unable to breath..you don't get looked at quickly...or unless your a child..which is understandable... so... I will wait and if I end up not walking or ?? I will go to the ER..

I'm sure yappy today..hehehe

thanks for the welcome back guys... nice to be missed..

Hi Wobbly,
So has it taken you a while to get used to the cane in your right hand or did it feel natural immediately?  Funny how something simple to use like a cane can be used wrong.  I didn't know that opposite side thing either until my husband's hip surgery.

Keep pushing to get that appt. moved sooner - who cares if they are rude?  Just ignore them and keep calling.  You're tough.  :-)

Don't stay away so long next time, ok?

Hey there!

Nice to see you back.  I'd call that facility back.  Maybe you'll get someone different who is not such a jerk with a bad attitude.  It doesn't take months to get results, especially hospitals.

Good to hear thought that your vertigo backed off a bit...you need a break.

Keep going to that physio and stick here w/us sweety, we've missed you!
xoxo
