Good luck next week!
Maybe some rest will improve those fingers. Try not to put a lot of pressure on that arm at the wrist OR the elbow in the mean time. You could also try short applications of heat or cold (either one could end up helping) or alternate between the two. You might be able to test yourself to see if various joint positions relieve or exacerbate the symptoms. I hope this is one problem that melts away with an easy peasy treatment.
Welcome to our group! I'm glad you stepped forward and asked your question and certainly hope we'll see more of you in the future.
Thank you. I am seeing my neuro, but not for a while due to surgery next
Week. I think you are probably right about the ulnar nerve. I thought that from my reading.
Hi :) I'm not diagnosed with anything but luckily these folks let me hang out here while it gets sorted out ;-)
One of my first symptoms was numbness and tingling in my right arm, with numbness in my right pinkie.
My first neurologist thought it was carpal tunnel. He ordered an EMG and another test they do during the same session and carpal tunnel was ruled out. My second neurologist said this leads him to believe it is neurological. Since this is new, best to tell your doctor about it so you can get checked out. From what I have read here people with MS tend to attribute everything to their MS, which means something important can be overlooked.
Best,
Minnie :)
It could be from MS but it could be an unrelated condition as well. The ulnar nerve is probably the culprit if this symptom is limited to those fingers. You need to check with your doctor though to be clear about what is causing this. It very well could be something you can treat relatively easily.
Hi, I get that a lot too. It's the MS. I'm not sure of the exact cause but it's probably to do with nerve damage, I guess. Mine usually passes but reappears somewhere else!
What could be causing it?
our Mary, we do love her!
Mary is right, we need a question! What is it that you want to know?
I swear Mary, you crack me up sometimes! lol
