update

so i went to my neuro yest. to beg for an rx for a blood patch after having a crazy HA since my LP (last friday 2/11) he agreed but he also had my LP results in. which i thought those took like weeks to get back but he said everything came back fine, no MS or lymme. so i had my blood patch today. thank goodness no more HA now just a little backache.

so back to the drawing board, my neuro says no ms. he thinks the lesions are from past HA. i'm really not sure what to think at this point. i've had the evoked testing/labs/eeg/lp all came back normal but there's 20-30 lesions on my brain. i'm thinking of seeing an ms neuro just to make sure.

thanks for all the support :)

It's always smart to get a second opinion.  I especially agree with seeing one that specializes in MS.  By the way, if the testing was done there it is possible to have the results back in a few days.  Mine was done in the hospital's own lab...Results back within a few days.

Please keep us posted on your journey.

Glad your bloodpatch worked.  I feel for you.  Was very worried about getting the HA.

Wierd question.  Do you live in a large or small area?  Reason I ask,  I had a LP on 2/10.  Still waiting for the results and it is killing me.  Live in a small town so I am expecting the results to be slow.

I would definitely talk to an MS neuro.  At this point, you've gone through a lot of pain for no real results.

What does the neuro say about the lesions?  If they're in a spot indicative of MS, then you shouldn't have had to get an LP at all.

Before you talk to the MS neuro, make sure you have the results of all your tests, and if possible, the CD of your MRI.  He/she will probably want new ones, but the old ones will give them some place to start.
