OT - The color is green

Well I went to check out Hybrids today and ended buying a Honda Insight. Not only did I trade in my pickup ( for about $1000 more than I figured) , but also got them to buy my box trailer ( one less thing to worry about).  I should now spend at least 1/2 of what I use to spend on gas as I am already getting 46 MPG with it. It is also my favorite color ( Blue) so that is also a plus ( hated the color of my pickup  ( Black) .

Of course nature sure was trying to mess me up on the way home. First a black dog ran across the road in front of me, than i started to rain. Next a deer ran across the road in front of me ( haven't seen a deer in months) and finally an armadillo. Luckily this car is more responsive and stops quicker than my pickup did. :)

Prius Owners:

   I did like the Prius more, but it was just a little bit too expensive for me. My Insight was about $4,000 less than a similar Prius.

   OK you have me confused. What did you mean about the deer?

  I just did my first fill up and did 42 MPG.  Not bad since I'm not use to the car yet. It still throws me when the engine shuts off when I come to a stop. I'm also not use to where the gas pedal is and keep missing it every now and then.

How awesome it is to be able to go more green in your new blue ride!  Does it come in purple? Just kidding... though that is my favorite color; my Kia is "blueberry" which is a silvery kind of lavendar.

Go, Dennis!  Congratulations!

Critters and bicyclists have a hard time hearing the hybrids.  I have a 2001 Prius with 207,000 miles on it, minimal problems (normal wear and tear), and it just goes and goes!  Here's hoping your Honda gives you as much pleasure and service.

What fun, Dennis.  As you were talknig about the critters I was thinking that perhaps you might have finally found that deer.

  I thought you said the color was green but the car is blue and the truck black , lol. It took me a few to get the green reference.

Congratulations !! I love new cars..I have a Prius for 3 yrs now and the mileage is about the same as yours.. Oh, and we have never had any trouble with it either.

Enjoy your new car. you need something to feel good about. Sometimes animals do not hear the hybrids as well.
