My body feels unusually light and i have panic attacks on and off. Im scared it my be ms, als, or something else. Can anybody help me?

David,
I would say set up an appt with your dr.  Just from what you said, it doesn't sound neurological to me but please see a dr and get checked out.

Our lives do get busy and stressful and until we stop and get evaluated, the physical sx from stress can cause it's own damage.

Hi David

Sorry that you have been experiencing these scary symptoms and you are not alone in fearing all sorts of horrible conditions. It is easy these days to read about symptoms on the internet and self diagnose and then start to worry incessantly.

So as Lulu has suggested the best thing to do is to take control for yourself and do something positve. Go to your doctor and explain exactly what you have been experiencing and I would also suggest that you get a referral to a neurologist who may then do some further testing.

It sounds to me as if you are definitely experiencing anxiety due to the stress you are under and again it would be sensible to mention this to the doctor. I would also suggest that you think about what is causing your stress and what you can do to alleviate this for yourself. taking regular exercise and getting outside and having some fresh air and a walk is a good way of encouraging the good endorphins which can give a lift to the spirits. Also do you have a mate or family who you can talk to and be honest with? Talking to someone is a very helpful way to alleviate and unpack feelings and you may want to consider finding a counsellor who may help you understand what is causing your stress.

I hope that things improve for you and the best way to put your mind at rest is to try and find out what is causing these physical symptoms in your body so get in touch with your doctor soon.

Cheers for now

Sarah

Hi David and welcome.  The best thing you can do to help yourself is to connect with a neurologist you feel comfortable with and undergo a bunch of tests to make sure of what is going on.  Stress can do horrible things to us, but you want to be sure that it really is not a physical problem.

good luck,
Lulu
