Off topic; I'm at the SunCoast today...

Hi, got here to Clearwater Beach yesterday, checked in, walked on very hot beach, grabbed some food, and collapsed.  Had a nice drive over; got a Starbucks mug in Lakeland for Detroit, 'cause the Detroit Tigers have a farm team there!

Also stopped in Tampa for a Starbucks Mug (got one in Orlando, too).  Missed the exit for the Tampa Hard Rock Cafe, doggone it!

Anyway, we're off to visit some lovely islands before it gets too hot.  I'll make a journal entry later or when I get home about my further adventures.  I'm managing to keep myself cool enough, or to get cooled off quickly when overheated.  Last night my tremors got bad, so I'll be more careful today.  Have hats, cooler and water, sunscreen, etc.

Miss you all; haven't had time to keep up with everyone.

Hi, I'm home!

I didn't have lobster at the Lobster Shack; I had snapper with a Cajun sauce.  I did have lobster and gulf shrimp at the hotel restaurant where we were staying in Clearwater Beach.  It was yummy, but the lobster was a little rubbery.  I'll have to try fresh cooked lobster sometime.

Honeymoon Island was gorgeous, but my hat, the wind and my feet in the water made me feel comfortable, so I stayed out longer than I should have.  My dizziness that I've been doing vestibular rehab for came back with a vengence and I got really fatigued.

I got my results from my audiology and vestibular testing today, and it seems I have "diffuse cochlear disease in both ears".  I came online to look that up, but had to stop in and say "hi!".

I still got some great photos with the digital camera, and will post some when I load them on the computer.  

The flight home was a real trial, sat in the plane on the ground for almost 2 hours in Denver because of thunderstorms and hail; had to have the plane inspected if hail touches it; all the planes had to be inspected.  The air conditioning wasn't working for much of that time, and I got overheated again.

I am just so glad to be home!

I'm so jealous, but so glad you are liking Florida. I looked at the pic's, but have one complaint.......how come the only pic's of you are of your feet!!!!LOL Have a great time. Did you eat Lobster at the Lobster Shack. My daughter bought me one one time in Miami that was 1 1/2lbs. And I ate every bite!!! Loved it.  Enjoy the sun, but don't get burned. Sure humid down there isn't it.
