Off topic of MS

If any of you have heard about the mom and dad in Florida who were murdered....she was a friend of mine. We came to know each other through adoption. both of our families were interested in adopting children with downs who needed a family.

It has been a HORRIBLE afternoon.  I think I am finally done crying.  I am too worn out to do any more.

Anyway, I though I'd just share that with you all.  I know crazy thoughts and ideas start flying around when something like this happens.

There are people wondering why this family was in bed so early in the evening with that many children.  

My children with Downs go down easily around 7pm.  They get very tired because they are early birds.  

Maybe they had a busy day. Maybe they had big plans for the next day and needed to get to bed.

Anyway, they were a wonderful couple and this is just devastating.

I will pray that you find comfort in memories of your friend, and that whoever committed this despicable act is brought to justice.  There are many shoulders here upon which to cry and to lean, and many ears to listen when you feel up to sharing any of the torrent of emotions that you must be experiencing.  Please let any or all of us know if we can be of help to you in any way.

I am so sorry to hear about this horrible tragedy.  The world sure has their share of
heinous people, it is hard to imagine such violence.

I heard about this horrific tragedy yesterday.  I don't know wht to say that would help any more that what the other forum mebers have already shared with you, but please know that I care about how painful this is for you and that the couple and their entire family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Don't be surprised that just when you think you are done with the tears, you will be flooded again.  This is such a senseless, horrific crime.  What a loss for everyone.

Please allow yourself to grieve as necessary - my deepest sympathies to you and all who were touched by this wonderful couple.

I am sorry for the loss of your friend. They must have been wonderful caring people, to adopt and care for special needs children.  Unfortunatly the ripple effect of this will be felt in the family for many years, and the community also. May you find peace and sleep this night.

I did see the headline, but didn't read the story, not wanting to feel the sadness,  pain, and horror that would be just a tiny bit of what you've been feeling today.
