relapse\ pseudorelapse

I have a bad cold and noticed my regular MS issues geting worse.  I then noticed numbness in my left arm which hasnt happenedin nearly 2 years.  I called my MS nurse and she said it was normal when ill and I just have to get better.  Today my right leg has gone numb, I've never had any noticeable problems with my right leg.  Is there really nothing I can do except just wait as I gradually lose sensation in most of my body?  Its just a cold so I can't take anything to get rid of it!

If it is caused by inflammation from the cold when the cold goes away the symptoms should decrease.

Hi there, I am fairly new at this so I could be wrong. Hence please don't quote me on what I'm about to say. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in to correct me if I'm wrong.

I have read your question a few times & I was thinking Pseudo Relapse "until" you said you have been having problems with your right leg which you have also said you have never had problems with before. If you have never experienced any problems with your right leg then that means that it could be more than a Pseudo Relapse.

It could mean that you are having some new disease activity. Did you tell your MS nurse that exact comment about your right leg?

I hope this helps rather than hinders you. ;-)  Good luck.

Karry.
