Hi and welcome to the forum. I love the name Stan as my father-in-law had this name, I loved him so much and he was an awesome man. So you are straight away on a great footing with me!
If you had a diagnosis of MS then yes heavy arms could definitely be linked. I am currently in a relapse and my arms have both felt like lead, and the muscles have ached and hurt. Lots of other parts of my body also giving me a hard time but I won't bother you with that as it was the arms you were asking about.
From what I read of Lisa's post it does not sound as if your symptoms are MS related, although ifyou have only had a brain scan this could not be ruled out unless one one done of your spine also. Hope that your journey of discovery provides some answers, and stay healthy and continue to keep as fit as you can as I am convinced that exercise helps us all.
best wishes
sarah
Hummm..heavy arms. Has your heart been checked?
Welcome to the forums Stan :)
I had seen your other post where you state you're a healthy 62 year old male with heavy arms, headaches that come at any time and dizziness. You also stated that you had a MRI of your head which shown nothing abnormal -- which is a good thing. Did you have a MRI of just your brain or of your cervical and thoracic spine as well?
You obviously went to a doctor in order to get a MRI done. Did they do any blood work or laboratory work? If so, what did they do and did they tell you the results?
MS is a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning MS is the last resort because there are so many other diagnoses that mimic or "copy" MS they have to rule them out first.
I'm sorry for your dizziness that must feel awful -- and headaches are not much fun either.
I wish I could be more of a help.
Again welcome to the forums Stan
