To Go To Neuro Or Not To Go?

Hi Guys,
As most of you know I have not been that well lately, but I have no new weakness etc. that I am aware of, or leg feeling heavy etc. just this burning that won't go away.  I did feel like I wasn't emptying my bladder properly but that seems to have resolved its self.  The only other symptom that I have had and I am not sure if it is a symptom is that when I was tidying up my sons bedroom bending forward to get clothes off the floor I got an electric shock sensation down my arms... this kept happening every time I lent down but no sign of it now....

I think I am afraid that if I go to my neurologist and this MRI is clear (assuming he orders one) I will worry that he might say I am a fruit loop and I am imagining my symptoms or something.  Not that he has ever said this before, I think I need evidence of my demylination but I am also afraid that I will get it and not be happy.

My husband is pushing for me to ring and get back into him as he reckon then the Neuro can decide if my bladder issues are either related to the Transverse Myelitis or something else or that I need to see a urologist. I ring my Dr tonight for the blood results and pending the results of them he was erring on phoning my neuro and getting me to see him.  I am so confused and miserable at the moment but I think this is made worse by the fact that I have a flu like bug as well.

What do you think I should do,  I am starting to feel crazy as I convinced I had a bladder infection then nothing showed up, story of my life but my neuro does believe me but what if he changes his mind....

Cheers,
Udkas.

I say go see your neuro!

You need someone to tell you what is going on with this burning - you have been dealing with it too long.  Somebody needs to get you on the right path with this, whether it is neurological or not - you need some relief!

Hugs,
Chrisy

I'm a big believer in going to the doctor if something doesn't feel right. Maybe too much so, my (supportive) husband says. :-)

You have a good neuro you like, right? If so, I say go ahead and make an appointment and go in. A good doc will listen to your concerns, take them seriously, and never call you a fruit loop.

If, like so many of us, you have a neuro who isn't very responsive, well, I guess I might hesitate to go see him then. But if you do go, maybe you'll get some helpful answers, and if you don't, you're likely to still be plagued by these doubts.

Good luck!
