Picnics, beach parties, doctors, first week of July roundup

Question

What is going on for this new week of July? Have plans for celebrating July 4? Squeezing in any doctor appointments? This is our weekly way of sharing bits of news. Hope you all are well and keeping cool in this blast of summer heat in the US.

Heading down south, my Grandad passed. He was 89, and was and always will be apart of me. Will be nice military honors - as deserved.

Hello-
I'll be staying in, weather forecast says rain on the 4th, but in Arizona I'll believe it when I see it.  It's too hot outside to go watch any fireworks which usually are done in different parts of the town - I can see the high one's from my back porch anyway.  I think my hubby is planning on grilling.  

Everything else seems to be stable.  The heat does get to me quite a bit so I try to stay out of it and the ice vest helps and I wear it often - even in the house sometimes,  but hot is hot and it's not the most stylish accessory to have.

We're allowed back into our family home today from the evacuation.

I work all week (except Wed - Happy B-day America!)

Today I had an appt at the ophalmologist.

Hoping the GI referral place will call me tomorrow with my appt.

Wed - one of my brothers is staying at The Broadmoor Hotel. We'll go over and swim with him, & then come back again for dinner reservations in the evening. 

No fireworks to see anywhere since our fire marshall has banned them all this year. - Gee, I wonder why....    :-)

My daughter in pharmacy school in NY is coming home for a week!!
My middle child has a birthday .
Thursday I'm having a port put in and my Tysabri infusion. 
The rest of the time will be resting and enjoying my kids being home.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th !!

Keeping the A/C on all week,  I think we will have a pizza on the 4th,  I don't want to stand in front of the  hot grill with this weather.


Friday is my follow up appointment with the DR from the back surgery.


I Wish I could send cooler weather & rain where its needed..

We are in SC visiting longtime friends and will be home by the 4th. There might be a cookout at one of my sister's homes - I sure hope so. We are bringing back bushels of fresh peaches, squash, tomatoes and other assorted garden goods. It would be nice to see everyone there and share the bounty.

I have my second round of chemo tomorrow. The 4rth should be an okay day so I will go out to our local celebration. The rest of the week I will be down for the count.
