My Deepest Sympathy in the Loss of your Dad. I am sure that he is in a better place with a smile on his face, back to making the decisions for himself and while it is always the most painful for those left behind you can take solace that his pain has ended. Please know my thoughts are with you and I hope that you will be able to keep up your health while in Maryland saying your final goodbye to the one man you have always and always will love...Daddy.

Hi Heather,
So sorry I was not on the boards yesterday to wish you prayers.
I hope you have safe travels and find peace knowing your father is in a better place now.
Our family will pray for you.

Be strong - you can do this - remember that HE is always watching over us. I remember when my Grandmother died, my Father said to the very same words, 'I'll be watching you'
Take care and comfort in the fact that he passed away peacefully.
My thoughts are with you,
Debs
My mother passed away in the nursing home exactly the same way. She told the nurses she was tired and was going to have a nap. And God took her home. It was a time of mixed emotions as she had not known anyone for almost a year from Alzeheimer's. I thought I was ready. But I found out we are never ready. Our loved ones are so presciouse to us. God Bless you and yours, Maggie
SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR LOSS AND MY PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU.
I LOST MY FATHER THE LIGHT OF MY LIFE ON JANUARY 1, 2000 AND EXACTLY 12:00 MIDNIGHT AND I THOUGHT MY LIFE WAS OVER.
HE IS HERE WITH ME STILL TO THIS DAY AND I AM SURE YOUR DADDY WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU.
BE SAFE AND GOD BLESS
I will pray that your strength holds up, though somehow I'm sure it will. You are such a strong woman. When I lost my mother in my 20's, I was certain that I could not survive it, but she left her stamp on me and I made it, stronger than ever. I am sure the same will happen for you.
I am so very sorry for your loss. In the end, we're all still Daddy's little girls. I always protested that I was not a daddy's girl, but he is my rock and my knight in shining armor, as much as my DH, as I'm sure your father was for you.
You will get through this. We will be here spiritually holding your hand.
God bless you and your dear father.
