ms?

Hi,
I have recently had an MRI of brain, c-spine, t-spine and lumbar region.  They all came back normal.  I have not seen a neurologist but have an appt in October.  I was referred by my rheumotologist.  Approx two years ago my toes began to tingle and two toes on both feet turned a purple blue.  At that time I was referred to the rheumatologist.  She could not find a pulse in my feet and suspected vasculitis an angiogram showed narrowed blood vessels but not vasculitis - also based on bloodwork.  Also during this time I was experiencing vertigo and stiffening in my calves.  I was told I could be in beginning stages of scleroderma but doc was unsure.  Symptoms disappeared.  Approx 6 months later I began to have terrible aching in my lower back that shot into my legs - this went on for months - normal xrays turned up nothing.  I became pregnant with my fourth child and the pain disappeared.  Into my second trimester I felt awful - exhausted and began having cramping and stiffening in my calves.  I also was experiencing muscle tremors all over my body - worse at night.  Doctor did blood work I had extremely low b12 ( I also have had low D for a long time)  had b12 shots and I began feeling better.  Fast forward to 3 months post partum and the tingling returned in my toes- about 5 months post partum I had the stomach flu and symptoms increased.  Cold sensations running through legs - extreme numbness in toes, stiffening in calves and muscle tremors, extreme fatigue that would hit in waves ( never felt anything like it) strange sensations at night almost like my head was detached from body.  Tingling in feet and fingertips, late afternoon fatigue.  The worst of it was over in a week but I continue to experience symptoms and my son is 7 months.  I still have muscle tremors, achiness, tingling and some fatigue although much milder.  Can anyone shed some light on my symptoms...I was convinced I had ms ( also had a great aunt with ms) but with my MRI's normal I am not sure now.  Thanks so much

Hi there,

The great aunt would not change your chances of MS. The cold achy and tingling and especially the discoloration you experienced in your feet sounds very much related. Have you looked into a vascular institute or one of those fields? Cardio vascular? Though the rheumy looked at some blood these docs would dig much deeper.  On first read, your symptoms remind me of what I've read about PAD, and I also have a friend with it. But that's just my opinion.

I'm not sure what the neuro will look into, but if he/she finds nothing, if it were me, I'd definitely look into seeing cardio vascular.

Thanks for joining us - and hope we can help,

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback I have reposted with added breaks.

Hey there,

Would you be able to repost this for us. Sometimes when there are no breaks in the paragraphs it makes it hard for some of us to read.

I get dizzy and fatigued when trying to read posts with no breaks.

Thank you. Hopefully I can respond to your questions once it's reposted.
