Thanks for your well-wishes.
For those that don't know, we are building out the unfinished basement of my home so that my parents can live with us. Essentially we are adding 1500 sq ft of living space with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen area, laundry, storage room, and a common living area, plus having an elevator built onto the house so my mom and I can visit each other.
We are in a record heat wave. It was 104 here yeasterday with temps to 107 in a few places close to Portland yesterday. Today it was 106 here and 108 closeby. they expect triple digits for two more days.
Our AC is chugging along, but can't keep up, and the temp inside is 75 now. That means I have to stay pretty still with a fan on me. Even our usually chilly basement is hot. I'm not even poking my nose outside.

Wish we could all pack up and come out there to gang up on the job & help you get it done right away. Prayers continue, and remember: if you give all you have, you won't have anything left to give. Take care of Quix, or you won't be able to care for anyone.
Hi Quix,
Just glad you are doing okay. Lovely to hear from you. Painting..mmm I had a go at that once,,,mmmm I forgot to take the handles off the cupboards, husband has never let me "have a go again"... nope I am not the creative type.
Take care,
Udkas.
Try to take it easy! Painting is so hard, I think. I'm glad you're looking at being done with it soon.

Glad it's coming along. Don't try to do too much!! Seems like I've heard that from you lots of times here, LOL. Hope you aren't having as high heat as we are here in the eastern part of the state. 101* on my pool thermometer in the shade! But I'm (unlike most here) am lovin' it! Talk soon.
Maggie
Awesome hearing from you. Stay focused on your goal and post pics when you get done.
Hope you're staying cool!
I could probably sit on the floor and paint the bottom third of the wall, lol!
It's great to see you stop by; it'll be even greater when everything's done and we can all ooh and ahh about the pictures of the Great Remodel, then greater still when you've rested up from it all and can come spend more time with us.
Take care,
Kathy
Great to hear from you again! I know everyone else is too. Best of luck with the painting. I had to turn into the handyman myself after the remodel contractor drained my wallet and didn't finish. Like you it keeps my hands busy and mind off things. Aches and pains have increased due to it though. No problemo, always a trade off in this life.
So glad you stopped in. BTW, let us know if WE can help YOU -- YOU give so much to this list with your time and knowledge you have no idea!! Seriously, if there is something in our power to do to help you, just ask ...
Nice to see you back!! I have missed you! I'm glad your project is going full steam ahed & can't wait to see the pics!! I , too, can't do anything that That requires reaching above my head so I feel for you ! You take all the vacation you need as I'm sure keeping your mind off of MS has to help. I have had a forced vacation recently but have decided until I'm officially dx/d that I will think of other things. How long is your remodel projected to take or is it a wait & see kind of thing? I pray your well & hope to see you back asap! God bless you!
Just nice to hear from you and know you are coping - well done.
Be well
Pat
