I started Modafinil last December but I honestly cannot say for sure if it works. I still get tired but it does not seem as bad as before I started it. Some days I don't take it at all and seem fine, other days I don't take it I am exhausted.
I switched about 3 months ago from Rebif to Tec. Like Lori, I had to go back and start more slowly due to severe GI issues. I have been back on the full dose about 3 weeks and it is a lot better than before. It can be a pain to take it in a 10-12 hour window from the previous dose but still better than injectiins, at least for me.

I'm on tecfidera. I was accepted for the payment assistance plan through Biogen and highly recommend calling them to see if you are accepted. I had a really hard time with the starter pack of tecfidera because of stomach pain side effects, so I took a week break and then weaned myself on much slower. I took 120mg once A day for 2 weeks, then 120mg twice a day for 4 weeks, then I took 240mg at night and 120mg in the morning for 4 weeks, then I took 240mg at night and also 240mg in the morning every other day for a week, and now I am on week 4 of the full dose (240mg in morning and 240mg at night). Thankfully it has gone sooo much better than my initial try with it. It seems to be a great med. I wish you luck and please message me if I can help in any way!
Thanks. I haven't received a call from the pharmacy for the Tec yet. The Symmetrel seems to work.
I have recently started on Tec, and so far so good. Neither Modafinil (Provigil) nor Symmetrel (Amantadine) helped me at all. Adderall does, though it gives me a dry mouth.
There have been many threads over the years on these meds, which you can read by using the magnifying glass icon at the upper left.
