Question about VEP results

I posted earlier and Quix asked me about the numeric result of the VEP.  I requested my medical records and received them today.  It said something about a p-100 and it being 100ms in my right eye and 114 ms in my left eye.  I'd love any insight that you have :)

(reminder - had double vision followed by blurry vision in January.  Neuro thinks it is ON with uhthoff's, but I guess the vision problems aren't quite as serious as they normally are so he's not quite ready to say it is definitly ON)

Thank you for that information - it is really helpful to know that.  Now I think I understand why the neuro says  he thinks it is ON but isn't definite about it :)

Hi, I'm back.  Sorry, I was sick this week.  In most of the texts that I have read, the general cutoff for considering a VEP abnormal is 115msec.  Now that isn't absolute.  Given the right circumstances, your doc may consider the 114msec as an abnormal value.  But, if so, it would "barely" be abnormal.  The VEP will typically show a delay for many years after a bout of ON.  The area of demyelination heals, but is never as good as it was before the ON.

I don't know if this affects the interpretation, but the VEP was done about 5 months after the only episode that we think was ON.
