Recent findings...

Good morning,
I was just wondering if this could be MS related or yet another issue?  I was diagnosed with PPMS n 2008 I recently had a bone density test and was told I have moderate to severe osteopenia in my hips, much worse than my 2007 findings.  Hummm, guess I better be very careful that I don't fall.  I was just curious if anyone else has had the same results.  Thank you
Debbie

As Lulu mentioned, that we have MS doesn't excuse us from other maladies. While our CNS fights the MS fight, the rest of our body can be engaged in separate battles :-)

Hi, Debbie.  The thinning of our bones occurs with age, diet, drugs and genetics.  Have you been on steroids a lot?  That is quite the culprit for working havoc on our bones.  AS for the MS, that in itself doesn't cause this problem.

I hope this helps to answer your question. ~Laura
