What's Up This Week?

Another Sunday, another week beginning - and what's happening with you?

Just the usual work, babysitting, and trying to keep my body strong with Yoga and hopefully a ride if the weather cooperates...

Have a good week, everybody!

Hi all,

Wishing you all well with your appts, follow ups, and some celebrations.

I have to pick up some Valentines for my valentines tonight! That will be fun though I read all those Hoops and Yo Yo cards forever, lol
If you are ever in the need for a smile, definitely open those up - they are fab! Some are downright histerical.

This week brings a significant mile stone, its our 20th wedding anniversary! I cant honestly get my head around where all those years have gone, lol they haven't all been easy so I cant use marrital bliss as an excuse. What I do know is that through it all, neither of us ever truely forgot how much we needed each other. Love still strong enough to get us through the hard times, though i know not how, I am very thankful none the less.

LOL I may not be able to remember the majority of those prior anniversaries but i'm sure going to make this one memberable and enjoy every moment of it, come what may I am so looking forward to Wednesday!

Cheers..................JJ

Juile, I am so sorry you are revisiting the power chair, especially with what it took to get rid of the last one.  Just remember that it is much better to be in a power chair and getting around than being stuck at home, unable to go anywhere because of no safety net.  It still has to be tough to move to this next phase.  I know a woman who travels all over the world in her power scooter - I'll look for her website and pass it on.  She may have some tips for you.

As for me this week - I am waiting to hear an appt for a CT scan of my foot - the bunion is screaming and I know it is time to do the surgical removal, despite how I dread it.  I have a dentist appt on  Thursday, as well. I lost part of a filling a week or so ago and this was the soonest they could see me, since it was not an emergency. I'm hoping it is just another simple repatch.

Here's to a good week for everyone!

I am happy to say that I've been able to avoid medical appointments for awhile now, but now it has caught up with me.

Tuesday I am going to the denstist to get a few fillings.  I have been evading him for 2 years, but now he finally got me to agree to get it done. I have so much anxiety for the dentist and hope there is no Julie drama.

Thursday, follow up with the GI doc.  I've recovered from the pancreatitis and hospital infection from Oct/Nov, but still not recovered yet from the diagnosis of gastroparesis.  I am still hopeful that this is temporary.

Friday is the most dreaded day of all. I have an appointment at the national rehabilitation hospital for getting another evaluation for a power chair.  It is my 2nd time for this evaluation. The first time I decided that I didn't want a power chair and I could do ok with cane/walker/wheelchair.  Now, 2 years later I see that I can no longer avoid it. I still don't want it, hate the idea of even having to resort to this, but if I don't get one my quality of life will suffer.  I truely dread having to do this and my copay will be significant.  No one realizes how physically, emotionally, and costly MS can be.

I hope everyone has a good and productive week no matter what is on your plate.

Julie

I have to schedule follow up sleep study this week, so that I may fitted for a Cpap.  I have moderate sleep apnea..  OOO JOY..

I guess looking back I really don't know what is a good night of sleep is.

Everyone I know that uses a Cpap swears by the results.

On the report from the  Dr,  it says snoring was quite prominent.

Thursday will get our Grandson for a long weekend,,  he is four and half and full of life..

take care

I have three paintings of one ladies pets to start.

I am riding more. I helped train a young horse to trailer yesterday. It took hours standing out in the freezing cold. I learned a lot about patience and never losing your cool. My trainer is amazing. I would have given up for the warm barn hours earlier. I was dead tired when I got home.

I learn a lot about life from the horse farm. Like with MS have you have to be patient, creative, you have to get control of your emotions, things are unpredictable, you have to do things when you feel like them and when you do not want to.

I have my semi annual meeting with my MS Specialist.

I hope everyone is plugging away.

Alex
