Results from Gastroscopy...?

just wanted to tell you my results from the gastroscopy... the Dr saw two small erosions in the duodunem.. and a small polypoid area in the antrum..they took a biopsy.. it came back Neg for H pylori...

I haven't heard from that Dr...my GP told me the results... know I'm guessing that the erosions and small polypoid area are of no concerns...since the specialist GA didn't want to see me to give me results..

so I'm guessing all is well

I am not sure.   I go to the PCP, who ordered the tests, on Thursday, but that is a medicine tweak appt.

I will ask him about the tests and what is to be done about Aunt GERDy!

From what I recall of what the doctor told me on Friday just after my upper/lower twofer, my results were similar to yours...

Two polyps, which they removed from the colon and substantial degradation of my esophagus due to GERD.

Or course, I can more clearly recall him saying backwards "Paul is dead, Paul is dead"....

Good luck with your stuff, Wobbles!

Hi there...yes I do take Pariet for GERDs.. I have been for a few years..but I don't really have bad stomach pains...I just used to have bad heartburn type of thing...

I was going to stop the Pariet...I thought maybe it caused the erosions?  NO??  I sure wish the GA specialist would have explained this to me..my GP says he doesn't know?  not much help there...

maybe I won't stop yet...thanks Wonko

Do you take anything for reflux?

I'm glad you are negative for H pylori, it is linked to ulcers and can be nasty.  But if you have erosions, then I would think that result IS worthy of treating you to control reflux.

I have damage (a stricture) and my doctors were concerned.  I know others on the forum have experience and expertise in this, too.  I'm sure they will agree with me that you should ask your doctor about controling your reflux to prevent further damage!
