Right eye drifting inward???

Hey, I've been posting a lot, so I apologize for taking all of your time up, but I'm in need of help. I'm going back to the neurologist, so I thought I would try and document some of my eye issues. I just now took a video of me looking in various directions a couple of times, wondering if I could catch anything abnormal on film, like the nystagmus I sometimes get in the morning. (It's not the morning right now, and I rarely get it when I'm just lying down, but I thought I'd try). Well, I had double vision during the filming thinking it was nothing to worry about (I've also had a bit of it when I wake up in the morning, but nothing long-lasting or severe really, so I thought it was just my vision trying to focus. In fact, I've never mentioned it to a doctor before). I watch the video and MY RIGHT EYE DRIFTS INWARD WHEN I LOOK STRAIGHT, AFTER LOOKING TO THE RIGHT. My left eye looks forward normally. It's so weird, and I'm kind of freaking out right now. WHAT IS THIS?? DO I NEED TO PANIC? AM I POSSESSED? I was NOT expecting to see that AT ALL. I mean, I'm happy I have it on film, but...

Kyle I'm actually really happy (in a non-sadistic way) that you have the same thing. That makes me feel better. And that was the first time I've ever had it at night, I guess because I was lying down.

So is that what double vision is? Your eye moving? I always thought it was something in your vision, like your brain is messing up the image. I never thought it had anything to do with there muscle itself.

Someone like Me! brittkl, you're the only other person I'm aware of that has waking double vision :-) It's not time of day specific, for me, but related to moving from sleeping to wakefulness. For the first 2-3 minutes when I wake up I see double. It's nystagmus related and it always clears. I've never made a video of it, but I am told it is observable even when fully awake.

I guess I'll worry about it the first time it doesn't clear :-)

Yes, I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet, but I've been having weird neurological symptoms for a while and have been trying to get answers.

Definitely mention that to your neurologist and have her / him  examine your eyes. This is not cause for panic, but it's certainly a concern that must be evaluated.  Are you in the process of seeking a dx?
