If you could say spare some prayer for a dear friend of mine

Her sweet 5 year old son was dx with leukemia yesterday. If you don't mind could you keep the family in your prayers....I know that they will be grateful and many prayers are needed for the long journey ahead of them.

My prayers are with this precious little boy and his family.  Miracles can happen with prayer, I look at two huge miracles everytime I see my beautiful granddaughter and daughter.

You got it Kelly.  Kids usually seem to be able to handle life after a serious diagnosis much better than adults.  It still doesn't seem right when kids are introduced to such things at tender ages Or when their parents are suddenly thrown into circumstances they never imagined they'd have to deal with.

Ren is so right about the increasing chances for a positive outcome in today's treatment world.  Are they located close to a major center for pediatric cancer treatment?

Tell them there are always people pulling for them that they don't even know.  Like Ren, I'm sending good thoughts your way too.  It's can be hard to stay a friend through times like this (especially if you have healthy kids yourself).  Be prepared to listen to repetitive stories or tears.  No need for answers.  Being there to listen is monumental.  Just like here.

Update us as you can when you think of it.

Consider it done! The family does have a long road ahead of them but the good news is the cure rates have continued to climb over the years.
