Searching for answers

I had an MRI done last week it showed that I have a small foci of T2/FLAIR hyperintensity in the periventricular regions in the occipital horn bilaterally. What does this mean? I have been sick for over 2 years it started with my right eye just dropping down and twiching. Now I have left side numbness and tingling. I have been diagnoised with Sensory Peripherial Neuropathy on my left side. Now I have even more vision loss and my calf muscle is wasting on my left leg. Can someone give me some answers, they would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Carolyn

I forgot to ask...What was your neurologist's comments about the lesion that showed up on your recent MRI?

Hi Buffy -

It doesn't sound like you're having much fun. It certainly sounds as if something neurological is going on. We're not doctors, just folks with MS or that might have MS. We can provide you with only our anecdotal feedback.

You mention that you were diagnosed with Sensory Peripheral Neuropathy. What tests were dine in conjunction with this diagnosis? Have you had any tests since?

What you're going through sounds really awful!  I'm so sorry...  But I have no idea what could be causing it.  What you describe doesn't sound like any MS I've ever heard of.  Have they ruled out stroke?  That's what is reminds me of...

Maybe someone else can help?
