Sinking Feeling

Thanks to all of you that answered my call for support yesterday in advance of my neuro appt today. At today's appt the neuro concurred with my PCP and said that based on the results of my MRI this is not MS. He wants me to have an EEG on Friday morning and have a whole lot more bloodwork to further investigate the possibility of autoimmune diseases. So I am keeping an open mind, going to have all these tests and hope that next week maybe I can get close to getting on track to an answer. Unfortunately I have the sinking feeling that I am never really going to come away with an answer to what is going on. Thank you again for alll your support even though apparently MS is not my issue.

Thanks for all your thoughful comments. It is nice to know that I still have a place for possible questions and support.

P.S. Good luck to you Mike in getting that long awaited DX. I will be keeping the open mind sometimes I think it is the only thing I have going for me in this crazy process!

Take care all!

I get your frustration, I'm possible MS after almost 14 months.

I'm always happiest when I have a bunch of tests to look forward to. Really. I hate waiting for another 6 months to go by to see of more lesions show up and doing nothing. Send me for more testing and I'm a happy camper.

More tests means more of a chance someone will figure out a diagnosis.

All the best of luck to you and keep that open mind attitude!

Mike

Hi - just remember that you are still welcome to hang out with us.  This group is very knowledgeable about all these tests and other autoimmune diseases.  I have to also say that it still may be MS, but just not visible yet with the technology we have available.

Hang in there - everyone deserves an answer!

be well,
Lulu
