OT I might have had my last chemo
I had chemo today. The Duke Doctors are pleased. I have a CT scan in a month and if it is clear of cancer, which it has to be because I says so, No more chemo. Grady and Polly and I are doing the happy dance.
I hope everyone is well. I am now doing Mindfulness Meditation for Cancer. I forgot about Minfulness on this crazy ride. Yesterday I felt hopeless. I thought this is never going to end. Today the old Alex is back and I will heal. I have too much advocacy to do. We have a big advocacy meeting tomorrow for the chapter. We have to plan what we want to do in legislation on the state level next General Assembly session. I am not foolish enough to think this is the end with the cancer but I have hope I can make it awhile longer on this planet. I am not living waiting for the other shoe to drop. I just can't. I am going to live as normally as possibly and ignore the uncertainty. No one has tomorrow promised them only right here and right now.

I will add my support again. I was so happy for you all day yesterday, you wouldn't have believed it! Good things come to those that wait, even if you weren't entireley patient but then again, you had a bunch of numbskulls in the beggining doing your treatment.
I can't Snoopy dance but Charlie ( the new puppy) can do a dance for you!!!

Wow, Alex! Kicking C's hind end that quick is great news. Good for you and the doctors who guided you to this point. We'll all be waiting for the grand finale - your clear CT Scan.

Ditto, ditto, ditto. I tried to explain it to Annie & Bandit, though, and they just looked at me like I'd lost my mind. Well, there are reasons for that, too.

Alex - so pleased to read your post. Your news is really wonderful. You have the right perspective: we really only do have today, who knows what tomorrow will bring for anyone. Living in the moment ensures we appreciate each moment as it comes.
