Hi,
Any infection can bring on MS symptoms including increased fatigue but a true sinus infection, diagnosed by CT, can cause an in crease in fatigue and malaise as well MS symptoms.
My son has a looong history of sinus infections and surgery. The key to curing a sinus infection is a solid 21 day prescription of a drug the sinus infection isn't resistant to. A 14 day prescription isn't long enough considering how difficult it is for the antibiotics to reach the tissues of the sinuses.
Hoping you get to feeling better soon,
Ren
I hope these round of antibiotic knocks it out for good. i haven't stopped any of my med's either
sinus infection seems to be going around, found I had one (explaining chronic cough) when I did MRI, got high power anti biotic and it went away.
didn't stop any of my other meds
Talk to your doctor about antibiotics. We were passing a sinus infection around the home few months ago, finally had the doctor put all of us on doxy (doesn't seem to bother everything else for me). Was the thing that finally did the trick for us....
And yep, fatigue when dealing with a cold or such is definitely one of the sucky side effects. Sorry you're not feeling well, hopefully you are able to take it a bit easier til this resolves :(

I wish it was just a curiousity question LOL. I am really feeling awful and i am more fatigued then my normal. and its my 2nd sinus infection in a month and a half. i just cant shake it.....
Hi Michelle -
Yep, I find that any type of cold or allergy type involvement kinda kicks my butt more then ever before in my life. I will even have more nerve / muscle involvement when I am sick.
If you can take it easier then usual when you get what probably was more a nuisance in life, think you will find you will recover a bit quicker. Just sucking it up and pushing thru with life doesn't work quite as well when you've got MS hanging out in shadows!!
I hope you are feeling good and this was more a curiousity question!!!
