MS or not

I am currently seeing a neurologist, possible ms.  12 years ago had optic neuritis, bouts of numb arm and thigh and now since sunday numb prickly feet. MRI shows lesions.  Does this sound like MS?  Waiting on Spinal tap results.

Limboland is not fun!!!  I am hoping that the spinal results come back quickly!  For you too.  The waiting is the worst!

Oh I think I will be in limboland shortly, had MRI of neck and spine, came back normal.  Had evoked response test done, awaiting results and awaiting Lumber Puncture tests to.  But as nothing has come up on the MRI, no sure anything will be found.  I self catheter, pins and needles in hands and feet, and tiredness.

Good to know that I am not the only one, the Dr. thought it sounded more like pn than ms.  Since I had my spinal on thursday the dull numb sensation has moved up my legs to my thighs.  At least the prickly sensation has kind of subsided in my feet a little.  Could be from relaxing since the LP on thursday though, we'll see how this week goes.

Yup, I have a spot on the side of my left foot that feels like I shoved it into a thornbush.

I have that A LOT!  I'm not diagnosed, still in limbo land, but I totally understand what you're talking about.  Just really annoying huh!?

Welcome to the board :)

Yes, I have had prickly, tingling sensations in bottoms of feet.  Felt like I was walking on pebbles when I was in the house in socks. Very disconcerning.

Thanks, 31 year old female with no other major health concerns, they are looking into other causes.  All started as a head MRI to determine why I was having migranes.  Dr thinks that history is suggestive of MS but not sure.

Is there anyone out there who has the prickly feet senstation. Dr. says it is more suggestive of pn.

Could be, but I am assuming they are also looking for possible other causes? MS is usually the dx after they have ruled out most everything else.

MRI of the what? Head? Spine (c and/or t)? What is doctor saying to you?  When do you expect the doctor to get back to you regarding spinal results?

What is your age? Any other health challenges?

Welcome to the forum.  Hope for the best.  Lots of good people here for support and information.
