I thought community that she loves in was entirely appropriate!
sorry darn typo's
community that she lives in,
Quix had been a blessing on this forum, however I would assume that she has had even a larger impact in her own community i that she loves in, Quix just strikes me as that type of person.
My wife and I will always be great full for Dr. Quix's guidence in those early days, we were at lose over those first MRI reports and Dr's that really weren't qualified to even order the next test , not mention give me a DX.
So we wish Dr. Quix the best.. we know her caring has gone beyond this forum to help other...
take care
JB
awwwww, you guys are great! i'm a jerk for assuming she was a man! i only read a few of her posts and she seems so smart. i was hoping maybe she could look at my scans for me. i zipped and compressed the files and here they sit in a file on my desktop! gonna search and see if i can get a radiologist to review them. one who isn't in a hurry. i just feel that they kinda missed some things! i have an appt with my pcp on the 17th, maybe she can help me find someone to have a look. then back to the neuro on the 27th, armed with my scans and a list full of questions i expect to be answered. i'm sure they didnt expect me to go get all the results and reports from the hospital. i just hate being lied to. everything's normal? why does this say abnormal and what about the small white matter foci you didnt tell me about? and then make him look at each scan that concerns me and have him explain the lil circle c's on my brain after enhancement. and what about all those circles of hyper intense areas on my brain? and why haven't you scanned my thoractic spine as well, considering that's where my problems began. you can look at my other post and see everything that happened over the span of 16 months. it's under a thread asking if anybody was qualified to read my mri. thanks so much! it's so nice to know i'm in good company! <3 much love and peace to you all! xoxo jody lynn
I miss Quix, not just for her medical knowledge, but more so for her great sense of humor and ability to tell a raucously funny story.
She had me in stitches so many times and yes, I have been the target of her wit more than once. Quix nailed me good on the SX thing and had me rolling on the floor in tears when she posted "Gee, I think it is great that you are having sex between appointments... "
Maybe we should start an OT thread with jokes or stories in hopes that we can lure one little post out of our beloved Quix?
Quix empowered so many people here to learn more and take charge of their MS. There are a number of regulars here who might be able to help with your questions, thanks to the lessons she taught. Quix has stepped away from being active in this forum so she could focus on her family and also on her own health. We all leaned on her pretty heavy and picked her thoughts a lot.
Perhaps we will see her here again sometime soon, but if not, the rest of us try to continue on in the model she has established - giving solid answers peppered with bits of humor.
I hope we see you around,
Lulu
Quixotic1 is a wonderful woman who has taken some time off to be with her mom. She hasn't gone away, but we haven't seen her in a while. Feel free to ask anything, and we'll do what we can!
