Thanks all!
I forgot to answer Zilla - no, still no answers re my spinal (she replies even more sheepishly, having not been fighting about it as vehemently as she should coz work has taken over time between and during spasms, buzzing, twitching....)
T - I do have a great boss. She tries to keep me from driving myself completely into the dirt. Though I am pretty stubborn and hard to manage, lol!
Hoping to someday get off the stationary bike and onto a real bike,
Penn
BTW - 2 other members of my family are now in hospital - my uncle had to have valve replacement, and one of my brothers (1 yr older) is in for actual chest pains. Wow, when it rains it pours! I did not tell my family about my stay, as I don't like to worry my dad if I can help it -- I'm glad I didn't now!!! He really worries about me as it is; now everybody else is joining in. The uncle is his big brother.
Welcome back to the forum Penn!! Get some rest.
Elaine
GLAD TO SEE YOUR BACK WITH US.
HOPEFULLY THIS WILL GET THE BALL ROLLING ON A PROPER DX.
GET YOUR REST AND YOU HAVE A GOOD BOSS.
T
Penn...good to see you back and I hope that they get is all straightened up for ya...probably a good thing in the long run that your co-worker called 911...I think more of us should probably do this when our symptoms act up...I like Quix am ecstatic that some doctors saw something and maybe you might finally start getting somewhere instead of pedalling on that stationary bike all the time!
Lots of Hugs,
Rena
P.S. -- I can't believe you stayed HOME!!!
Get some rest, girl!

Glad to see you back on! Thought we lost you there for a while. Figured you weren't feeling quite up to snuff.
Probab;y your trip was a good thing. Makes your docs keep a better eye on your symptoms, do you think?
Feel better, while I look up C diff....
Zil*
WOW! Thanks for all the wonderful posts! I am okay, though I think I came out w/ something I didn't have when I went in, which worries me, as the lady next door had C-diff - yuk:(
I think that this was just a case of my firend who's a nurse seeing my heat intolerance up close and personal for the first time and mistaking it for something else. It was hot in the room where we were eating coz the other friend is always cold. I "didn't look the right color", was slurring and brain foggy. I got shooting pain down my arm a few times. My friend thought I was having a heart attack or stroke and called 911. I can't blame her. In retrospect I would have done the same for anyone else.
Still I have to have some testing done to be sure - stress test, sleep study, etc. Now my PCP wants work up to be sure I didn't end up w/ C-diff too!
The docs were great there (never been to this hospital), but the rest of the crew left much to be desired. I didn't get half my meds, some wrong meds. Then they tried to say I didn't give the meds they forgot - sure, blame the patient, lol! Funny when they brought my med chart in to show I didn't give all meds, they were all there...oh well! Good thing I pay attention.
Anyway, I am home today... boss wouldn't let me come in. That's ok, still feel like a wet rag. Thanks again for your concern, You guys and gals are the greatest!
Penn
I can't believe I just saw this thread!!! I am so sorry you've had this happen, but I agree with everyone else. Maybe now someone will listen to you and you can get that dx you so desparately need.
Thinking of you and hoping you get to feeling better.
Love,
doni
I'm so glad that your heart work up was o.k. But very sorry to hear what you had to endure. What was the outcome, did they send you come with anything? Lots of lock with all the referrals.
Sincerely,
Mary Beth
I am glad everything worked out for the best and they were able to see your symptoms. That is the hard part of us undiagnosed, we feel horrible but people can't see it. Even family are skeptical sometimes....so glad you were evaluated and taken seriously..God bless...Amers
I hope your unwanted trip to hospital really does become a blessing for you.
You're in my thoughts and prayers
Barb
I too am so thankful it wasn't your heart. What scare.
I am glad that the docs were able to see your body in action. I know what that is like to have an appointment and nothing is going on at that time. At least now they have seen it and hopefully answers will be forthcoming.
Hugs and prayers
Moki
SWEETIE,
GLAD IT WASN'T YOUR HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT YIPPEE FOR THE CO-WORKER THAT CALLED THE EMS,EVEN THOUGH THE FOOD STUNK,YOUR SPASMS HAVE BEEN VALIDATED AND THE ER DOCTORS WILL SEND THAT REPORT TO YOUR GP.
YOU GIVE THAT CO-WORKER A HUG FOR ME AND THANK HER,SHE HAS NOW GOT THE BALL ROLLING FOR YOU.
GETS SOME REST AND GOOD FOOD.
SENDING YA HUGS AND PRAYERS
T
Great thoughts from everyone. I am glad you are doing alright, what a scare. But I am also very glad they witnessed the spasming.
You are so correct about hospitals - it is impossible to sleep unless you are in a coma.
I am sending karmic vibes that you will get some answers now!!
Jazzy
Several people here have gotten their fingerhold on a diagnosis by presenting to the ER when their symptoms were the worst. I feel really bad about the food you had to endure, but I am giggling with glee that some doctors "saw the problem" and were aghast at the fact that no one has taken you seriously. Maybe now....you deserve it so much! Oh, dare we hope that this will lead to something?? What did they say about getting a good neuro appointment sooner? Is there anything they could do to help? Would they be willing to contact the MS clinic on your behalf?
Quix
Penn,
I'm sure glad you're o.k.. Please rest up this week-end , let yourself get waited on . Be the queen bee.
That is great that the docs got to see you in ' action ' .
Take care ((Hugs)) Jo
I am so sorry you had to go to the ER. I am glad your heart is fine, but can the doctors at the hospital or the pcp call the neuro and ask them if you could have an earlier appt? maybe they have emergency appt slots??
I hope so Lisa, because you should not have to wait till June. I know how hard it is to fight the system and it is that way here outside Philadelphia. I do have one idea...would your PCP agree to call Hopkins MS center and get you an appt there?? I bet you could get one before June, especially if the doctor's office staff calls. And people from all over the country go to Hopkins...so someone from PA is second nature there. Just an idea. If the PCP will not call the MS center, then perhaps the Neurology dept??
Elaine
Ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto! That seems somehow redundant. But called for, allthe same! Everyone's so right!
OMGoodness, Lisa! How much longer are you supposed to keep suffering like you are? THis is beyond ridiculous. Perhaps this is all for the best. Like Ess said, hopefully Monday will snap your neuro to attention.
Do you know what Monday brings? I'm sorry to have to ask....do we know about the LP yet, she asked, ever so sheepishly.
Bo Peep*
Dear God, what next? Do you have to present with a possible heart attack before they do something?? That's outrageous.
Yet if some good comes of this it will not have been for nothing. I hope you get the appropriate neuro attention first thing Monday.
ess
How scary that must have been. I hate it that you went through all of that but at least the doctors actually saw something was wrong and that you needed attention from a neuro. God bless you and please take care of yourself.
I'll be praying,
Carol
My gosh girl....scare the heck out of all of us. Thank the good Lord that you are alright. What a scare that must have been.
PLEASE get some much needed rest. At least you know that your heart is fine, after all the scare....one GOOD thing...
Big (((HUGS)))) sweetheart. I am so glad that you are okay.
Heather
ARE YOU OKAY.
I HOPE SO. FEEL BETTER.
GET THE REST YOU NEED.
YOUR FRIEND KITT
