TINGLY NOSE

I am just curious if anyone has experienced this one.  I have felt like whatever I drink is effervescent for the last week.  Today, the tip of my nose is tingly and numb.  Another thing, food seems to taste much strong...like garlic and hot things are really strong!

Yes my nose vibrates or tingles. I just chalked it up to my dx of peripheral neuropathy.

Hi, I get that lots.  Not just the end of my nose is involved though.  So, I don't know if it's the same thing, but, maybe same nerve?

My tongue and lips, at their worst, feel like I have shingles, my nose and around my lower face feel like dental freezing is beginning to wear off.  My teeth feel as though they all need root canals and my gums feel infected.  Dentist checked all clear.  My jaw, from the mandible, has waves of pain which can become extreme, sometimes it feels as though my jaw has been pummeled 'til its broken, with a constant ache, like it's tight.

Thankfully at the moment it's mostly numb, so the burning/itchining/tingling/hot isn't much of an issue.  I still feel these things, but tolerable.  I also have quite a delayed reaction to touch on my lower face.  If I scratch my lips too hard, I won't feel it until a minute or so after.  In a slow increasing wave of pain.

The doctor had me on gabapentin, an anti-seizure med (also called neurontin).  I had to take too much of it to control it, so he switched my to lyrica (pregablin) which is working when I need to take it.  It does take a while for these two meds to become effective.  You need to take it for a while, sometimes a couple of weeks before they kick in.

Hope I could help.
