Take time to read these blogs from ECTRIMS

Earlier in the week you may have seen the various notes that medical personnel involved with all aspects of MS are in Amsterdam for the annual meeting of ECTRIMS.

NMSS has sponsored Julie Stachowiak, PhD, to report from the convention with a daily blog about presentations she has heard.  Although she lacks the display of humor our dear Quix has, she does offer the same clear, no-frills explanations without using humongous medical terms we don't understand.

I can't encourage you enough to stop through the NMSS site I've listed below and read her reports - they include pregnancy exposure to dmd, aging and tx of ms, and dna markers to predict MS, among other things.  I believe you will be encouraged and excited by much of the news coming out of ECTRIMS.

don't forget to take a look at

Today's topic included a piece on hygiene (too much) maybe contributing to MS.  This theory is being tested in a trial that people are ingesting hookworms.  Not so sure that's one I would sign up for.

She has a good reflection on the difficulty to replicate the results of the CCSVI results.  Intersting read.
