The vest will be my first! :-) I refused to even look into them last summer but I am not eager for a repeat of that horrid fatigue.
Lessons learned I guess. Lol.
Corrie, I read your post on cooling vests! They sound awful! Have you tried one before?! Karry, I get minor stuff when cleaning too, more so in summer though. It's been pretty cold here all winter. Maybe we should all move to where Kyle is - he seems happy there!!!
My Neuro has been talking to me a lot about this lately because I have the heat intolerance. Even a slight raise in my body temp brings on an array of symptoms & living in a hot country really is not helpful lol. I have the air con on much of the time but I can't have it really cold like some people have it because it hurts my painful body.
If I exert myself too much with something like cleaning I will have the same response. I am sooo looking forward to the cooler weather. Unfortunately my arthritis doesn't like the cold or wet so I will have a lot more pain but I think I will get more done in winter than I have in the summer. Certain things like cooler showers I have been having for years because I just thought I was weird reacting to the hot water so much. Hence I didn't say anything to anyone & simply had cooler showers. It wasn't until I had this Uthoff's explained to me it all made sense.
Karry.
I have never been a big fan of heat and living in Canada I did not think I would have to worry most of the year but sure enough it gets warm enough that I have issues from May to September.
Noticing that as the temps creep up my weekend naps are already getting longer.
Last year getting an air conditioner was not enough so this year I am looking into cooling vests to help out at work. Lots of air conditioning there but a lot of windows so the sun beating in every day tends to make it toasty.

Sounds like Classic Uhtoffe's Syndrome. Body temperature rise symptoms appear. You cool down and symptoms get better.
