Today was last day of IVSM

Well the IV is out and I am feeling a bit better. My legs are not so weak and the numbness/pins and needles have subsided to a point. It is still there but hoping in the next few days I will be out of the woods. I do have a terrible headache from the steroids that just won't go away. I am hoping that too will subide in time.

I didn't have the massive surge of energy this time but I am thinking it is due to the fact that the steroids were desperatly in need and they focused on my inflammation instead of giving me mass energy. I did only sleep a few hours then was awake and would sleep for a few more hours but it wasn't like I couldn't sleep at all. The heartburn has stayed to a minimun so that is good to.

However I am so swollen I look like an oompa loompa lol, but that too shall pass now that I am off the steroids. It is quite funny to look at my ankles and legs, they look like they belong to someone else. I did get my water pills filled so hoping that will help in the next day or two and drinking massive water to help flush it all out.

Just wanted to update how I am doing with this and here is to hoping I am back to a good place by Thursday when I return to work.

All the extreme heat advisories that are out is not going to be kind to me or any other MSer here in the great state of Ohio but we will fight through it...try to stay cool all!

As soon as the temperature drops, I'm doing something about the yard.  This is crazy - can't get outside to mow it, because it's just too hot.  And the grass won't grow anyway.  I'm going to terraform and put in some sort of rock/flower garden.

Yeah we had rain here too. I went to take the dog outside and it felt pretty good but haven't been back out since. The yard is getting mowed a little at a time but not by me. Hopefully by weeks end it will be finished lol and ready to be cut again. But thats ok, keeping me healthy is top priority right now.

Would be nice if it died because of the heat then there wouldn't be anything to worry about. lol

we had a great rain this morning and now it is a sauna outside.  I opened my door and peaked outside but immediately shut the door and have been hiding indoors.

I'm glad you are not attempting the yard .... wait long enough and it will all die off thanks to the heat.  LOL

Lulu,

Yeah my son is helping with the lawn, He has a pretty bad cut on the bottom of his foot so it is a little at a time. I decided that there is no way I can get out there and do it unless I want to end up back to where I was to start with. We are getting some rain right now so hopefully that may cool it down just a little but I don't see it happening if anything else it will probably make it hotter.

Yikes!  Cutting the lawn?  Don't even think of it with all you have been through to try to feel better.  You have plenty of adult people in your life - delegate this task to someone else or find a neighborhood kid to cut it for you.  They always love some extra money.

Be smart .....

Tricia,

I am doing all of those things. I have a meeting to go to this morning and then off to Walmart to get tires rotated and balanced but gettting an early start to get home before it gets really hot. I have been drinking massive water to try to get the oompa loompa look to go away faster and I believe it is working to a certain point :)

Thank you again,
Paula

Glad that you're on your way to your "new normal" self...lol! I am happy it all went well and I'm sure the headaches and the oompa loompa :-) size will go away with time. Just focus on getting fully on back your feet. Stay cool, keep the stress level down, eat right and ttys!

~Hugs~

Miss Laural,

I take lasiks (furosemide) 40 mg. I am trying to stay cool. Not so easy with this weather. The bad thing is that my lawn needs cut so bad. My lawn mower died and it hasn't been cut in a couple of weeks and this week is not looking good either.

Red,

Thank you, I am so glad to be done with it too. Here is it just as bad. The temps in the high 90's with heat indexes between 105 and 110. It is going to be like this all week. Getting ready to install another window airconditioner for this week to help out. Don't want to get down again.

Paula, I'm so happy that you are free of the IV infusion.  Be careful because this heat is dangerous.  It has been in the 90's here without any wind.  The only break has been a few brief storms.  I can't imagine how hot it is in Ohio.

Hope you start feeling better soon!

love and hugs,
Red

Thanks Lulu,

I have some more obtacles to takle like learning to type lol but I will get through them. The water is a must as well. If I could just get rid of this blasted headache I would be good to go.

The heat is suppose to be like this for the next 6 to 7 days so we are all in for a lot of staying indoors.

It's great to hear that this did the trick for you.  Keep feeling better and pushing the fluids.  And yes, hunker down in the A/C.  Its not fit for man or beast outside today.
