Told it is not MS and all tests say not MS but I am still worried

Hi! This will be fairly long but I am looking, sort of, for a second opinion. Brief history. I had a baby 10/27/2009, 02/01/2010 I woke up with half of my tongue feeling numb and pressure on the R side of my face. I had bilateral tingling in arms and legs and fasiculations in legs (mainly calves and feet) I also had twitching in my toes. In Dec of 2009 I was ill with a virus. I also pushed it VERY hard after my son was born working out 1 week post birth running an average of 7 miles a day. I also had adies pupil and some blurry vision. I did not have weakness (went to a PT who checked as well), I had perceived weakness but was able to run and exercise still. I also had floaters. Saw a neurologist had Brain MRI (no contrast), spinal MRI (with contrast) Evoked Potential vision, EEG and saw an opthamaligist and had blood work Everything came back totally normal, low white blood count but that was it. It is now 10 months later and I am feeling much much  better. I am concerned thought because my thumb and pointer finger still tingle (especially in hot showers or when I am working outI)  I also have tingling in my tongue from time to time and hazy vision. My neurologist said I have chronic fatigue and benign fasiculation and that there can be good days and bad and that heat intolerance can be a part of CFS. Is this the case?? Just wanting to be able to say this is or is not MS and move on, I am honestly ok with either, just want to know! I have an immense amount of anxiety about it

No lesions, negative VEP with visual symptoms and bilateral limb symptoms tend to point away from MS. Fasiculations are kind of a strange sign.  The "bag of worms" phenomena is more commonly a result of distal neuromuscular activity than CNS.  Is the numbness  of 1/2 of you tongue just the front or back of the tongue?

It really sounds like your neurologist as done his due diligence.

It sounds like you have had a good work up with negative results.  I don't know and doubt a doctor can promise it isn't MS.  It sometimes takes years for a diagnosis.  Someone else with more experience may disagree with me but it is possible for lesions to not rear their ugly head for years.

What to do?  Take care of yourself.  If your energy level is low and fatigue sets in teach yourself a new normal.  Do chores in bits and pieces.  Don't over extend yourself socially.  Don't be afraid to ask for help even withOUT a dx!!!  Live life and if another attack hits hard, get yourself back in for more testing.  JMO
