Its ok, you don't need to interpret.  I think it is pretty benign don't you?  Nothing really stands out.  I pretty much looked up all of the words that I didn't know.  Thank you for finding it though.  You are of the upmost value to our fourm!!!  We owe you lots of ice cream, hugs, and laughs....

Hello, thank you for thinking of me!!!!  I had a brain MRI with contrast & a spine MRI (I can't remember the area, but it wasn't my whole spine) without contrast.  I see my neurologist tomorrow.  

**I have the draft report for the brain which looks negative.  It says the brain displays normal signal intensities.
Conclusion: Negative MRI brain. Concurrent review.

**Cervical Spine without contrast-draft report
Findings: The bone marrow signal intensities are benign.  The structures of the foramen magnum are unremarkable.  The cervical cord displays normal signal intensities and volume.  There is mild annular laxity of the C5-6 and C6-7 disc without significant protrusion, central canal stenosis, or neural foraminal narrowing.
Conclusion: Mild C5-6 & C6-7 disc bulging, no central canal or neural foraminal stenosis.  Conccurrent review with another radiologist.

**The thoracic spine without contrast signed report says: some spurring noted & some discogenic osseous change particularly seen at the T8-9 level. However, i do note some increased signal intensity within the left side of the T8 vertebral body and involving the left lamina at this level.  The could be attributed to some normal bone marrow inhomogeneity but this is the level of the patient's pain.  The area measures approximately 1.4 X 1.0 cm in size.  Whether this represents a samall area of bony injury associated with trauma or merely normal variation of the bone marrow signal intensity is not absolutely certain.  The area is slightly hyperintense on STIR images.  The cord, neural foramina and other structures appear unremarkable.
Conclusion:  Focal increased signal intensity within the left lamina of T8.  This may represent a benign area of inhomogeneity of the bone marrow signal intensity but this  is the level of the patient's pain.  If further evaluation regarding the possibility of an acute jujury in this area is indicated, radionuclide bone scan may be useful.

Perhaps I should send this to Quix for a review???
