Thank you so much for your comments. It's nice to know that you all really understand how it can start to get to you. It just gets so frustrating dealing with all the red tape and cr@p from insurance!
through a series of mistakes and false steps, I was off therapy for over two months instead of the anticipated one month lag. Take the advice of the others and call Biogen now rather than later and get them involved in Being off therapy longer really doesn't hurt us, but it sure can be frustrating.
good luck with getting this started,
Lulu
biogen is fantastic about cutting thru red tape, I can attest to that. I threw a tempur tantrum when I couldn't get my 2nd infusion site set up and they had it solved in 3 days!
Sarah is correct. Call Biogen (see their website) and ask to enroll in their Tysabri assistance program and the administration fee program as well.
With these two programs, you can receive Tysabri virtually free.
Sorry about the delay. It 's the pits to get your hopes up then have insurance red tape dash them.
I hope you can find a quick solution to all the red tape .
Good luck with your first infusion. BTW, it's a breeze. I've had 11 infusions and will have the 12th on June 6th. Still JC virus negative!!!
Get someone at Biogen to cut through the red tape for you!

What Sarah said. Dealing with bureaucracy, red tape, paper work, technicalities, and boatloads of insurance company BS is almost always a long, drawn out, arduous process. To go through it all, only to be denied can leave you feeling dejected to say the least! It never hurts to have a plan B.
Hang in there, sometimes it takes awhile, it's relatively new but worth the wait
Lulu went thru a similar scenio, mine was funded by Biogen and after getting approved, iced still getting denial letters , go figure
