I wouldn't/couldn't describe me as a 'smart Alec' with the huge talent and experienced MSers on this forum but I thank you for the compliment.
I have completed three sessions with a psych and reall feel as if it has made a difference to me adjusting to the new me.
MS is tricky to diagnose so unfortunately you'll have to be patient and just wait it out. But whatever you have, you know you are not your 'normal' self. I just love the wisdom and advice here and from talking to people in real life with MS or similiar conditions.
At home now we don't talk about it anywhere near as much so as not to burden up my wife and kids. I try to limit discussing my condition to 10 minutes a day with them. But I am a veteran of 6mths. If you had suggested that to me 5 months ago I would have said that's impossible.
Please hang in there. I understand it is really tough for you right now. But He only gives you as much as you can handle so lean on Him.
Blessings

Oh how I wish my doctor was as smart as you are Alex! Lol
I asked for steriods and he gave me Neurotin, which hasn't changed my sx one bit. (Yet)
I asked him what to do about my stamina and he sends me to PT and OT (which I am sure are helpful)
Neuro still feels it is not MS d/t no lesions and I'm presenting bilaterally. I don't even have another appmnt on the books until after he gets my next EMG results.
I think eventually I'm gonna need a psych consult, because this is driving me crazy! ;-)
Hi Mlkjmom
It sounds like you are taking frequent breaks and structuring your activities for the first part of the day which is advice straight out of the manual. With small kids this is probably impossible but have you tried a 30 - 45 min nap to try to perk you up? For me it works wonders on bad days but only so much.
However, I think as yours sx are new you are probably still in flair and all you will want to do for a few weeks is sleep, sleep, sleep. Normally the doctors prescribe a five day course of steriods which are anti inflammatory and mimimise the damage
Unfortunatley, sometimes you just can't fight what your body is telling you. Talk to your doctor who always has options up his/her magic sleeve.
Hope you're feeling better soon
Blessings
Alex
