Now for the waiting game

My medical appts this week went well.

The evoked potentials of my feet/legs was on Thurs.  The tech experienced some difficulty finding nerves that work (don't know if this is normal).  I couldn't get the tech to tell me anything so I will have to wait for my 5 Dec neuro appt.

Primary care appt today (Fri).  Wonderful.  I have a GREAT PCP.  We reviewed my sleep study, the EMG of my legs and then got in to the new items.  Bottom line - she gave me the referral for a MRI of my brain with MS Protocol spelled out on the order.  Yeah!!!  and we are doing a Thoraic MRI (neuro was comtemplating this one at my last visit with him) and for the opthomologist were doing the MRA of my head in reference to the temporary blindness in my right eye.  All three tests are scheduled for 24 November.  So all the results will be ready for my neuro appt on 5 Dec.

I'm feeling very calm.  Hopefully we will learn something from these tests.  Who knows, maybe everything is being caused by the pesky bulging disk at C6.

However when I brought up the electical shock/seizure today with my PCP she said that was MS.  But I told my version doesn't match everyone else's so I'm not certain.

The only bad stuff this week is 3 migraines in 5 days.  Oh well!

Yeah!  I'm happy you're getting the tests that you need!  Your PCP does sound wonderful.  The wait will be over before you know it.

Jules, Congrats on having a keeper of a PCP - hang on to her!  It is great news that she was willing to order all those tests for you AND get them scheduled so soon.  Here's hoping that answers are coming your way soon.  My best, Lulu

It sounds like you have been through a lot of testing recently.  It is also a shame that you have to wait until December for the results.  How do you feel the EVP tests went?  I had mine at a local DC teaching hospital and it took them almost 4 hours to get through them.  Did you have any pain from the needles?  You have a doctor that seems to be doing all the right tests.  I hope you get your answers soon.  Take good care.
