Tysabri and Diesel Update

Tysabri tomorrow, 3 years now, starting to feel better, but the CPAP is driving me nuts, don't see the doctor until the end of the month.  For something with moisture added, it sure makes my throat dry.

Diesel continues to grow but still has a lot of puppy in her.  She had her first grooming yesterday and someone in the store commented they had seen her 2 days before in the fabric store and she was behaving very well (like a girl, she loves to go shopping).  Eventually, we will get to the service dog arena, we just need more socialization.  She loves little babies and little kids, so gentle with them.

Everyone have a good week

Hi there! Good for Diesel and happy anniversary with Tysabri.

My CPAP took me a few weeks to get used to. I don't even use the ramp anymore.

Lately I have niticed nt thriat getting dry too and the respiratory therapist recommended a higher temp and humidification level. She said if that did not work she might need to increase the pressure.

I do find it helps but the mask is getting a bit of rainout.

Good luck with it. I have been using mine about 3.5 years now.

how long did it take you to get used to it?  Mine has a "ramp" and also several levels of heat.  I think I need a higher level of humidity.

You will like having the CPAP with with a attached heated humidifier. It will prevent your sinus's and throat from feeling dry when you wake up in the morning. I loved mine.

Diesel is a good doggy. I am glad you have her. Fiona is still a tornado. She is sleeping with us at night. She puts her head on your legs. I got new LLbean slippers. I was missing one and Grady had it. He does not chew them he just steals slippers.

I was wondering how Diesel was doing! "Service dog arena" has me picturing doggy Gladiator, though!

Sorry to hear about the CPAP. I imagine that is quite the adjustment to make, though I understand many models are at least a little less obtrusive these days than they used to be. I hope that's the case with you.

Congratulations on your Tysabri anniversary! I have one coming up for my medication as well (four years in February). Whether or not it feels like something worth celebrating, I look at is as a large chunk of time we've been actively combating the natural course of this disease. I actually do get a bit of mental bolstering just knowing I've done what I could. So, congratulations again!
