Sorry, I followed that diet for weeks, and I had NO positive results. I slowly added back gluten products, no difference. I slowly added back dairy products, and - well, Bingo. But I've known I'm sensitive to dairy since I was a teenager. So I just stay away from that stuff. Alex is right on with all that - eat your veggies and fruit. Stay away from anything with what I call "weird stuff" - any additives. Eat REAL food!
Good Luck,

Alex has nailed the perfect answer here. Following this diet is not going to hurt you - decreasing fat and increasing fish in our diet would be healthier for everyone.
I understand this one is based on the Swank diet, which you also may want to read about.
Theone big question about the successes people say they have had with Swank is what type of MS do they have? Are they in that group of people with mild symptoms who never progress into more serious forms of MS?
Does eating better make you feel better? Most probably - I know the types of food I eat affects my feelings of well- being. The diet theory has been tested extensively and cannot be proven, but it probably isn't going to hurt you as long as you are not doing something extreme.
whatever you do, don't fall in to any MS *cure* that asks for money through the purchase of supplements, books, tools, etc. If any of those worked, we would all be better.
be well, Lulu
There is no MS diet. You have to take this stuff with a grain of salt. That said my own philosophy is if I have MS I can not afford a poor diet. I eat a very balanced diet where I cut out processed food. I have worked hard to lose weight although I still need to lose more. I figure I can't carry extra pounds if I have trouble walking.
I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, lean meat, fish. All my blood work is perfect even high vitamin D from my diet. I never realized how many fruits and vegetables there are. When I go to a super market I only shop from the perimeter. I also love farmers markets and my own garden.
Everyone has to do what is comfortable themselves.
