Update on Socrates2k1

Well, after going to another Cardiologist, for a 2nd opinion, he basically said the same thing, even though I have  the condition (CAA - Coronary Artery Anomaly, of the RCA - Right Coronary Artery), it doesn't warrant surgery, at this time.  He confirmed that it was intercostal spasms, possible due to my MS hug, etc.

In the meantime, with the weather heating up, it makes my days difficult.

Does anyone else have difficulty breathing, as the humidity level rises?

I know, when I go into places, w/ high humidity (ex. garden centers), it makes it difficult to breath, and makes you want to sit down.

Last Summer, was one of the hottest (in KS), in a long time, the temperature has already broke 100 degrees (F), once, and that was before Spring began, it's going to be in the mid to upper 80's this week.

Oh, also, I had a "near miss" on April 14th, 2 tornadoes, came w/in one half mile, of my home, w/ my wife and me inside.

How's your Spring going?

Hey i'm glad you got a second opinion on your wonkie heart valve thingy and the miss of the tornado too! Your Spring is my Autum, the cold is coming and i dont do that well in the cold either, so i'm already looking forward to Spring.

I have breathing issues in humid temps, getting into cars over here in summer are not pleasant for me but probably the worst experience i had was going to a tropical butterfly house at the zoo. Our youngest was a toddler, so that was about 12 years ago and i still remember it. lol never again.

That vest sounds like a good idea!

Cheers....JJ

Stan - check out the FREE equipment through MSAA

http://www.msassociation.org/programs/cooling/

you can also apply at MS Foundation, but their deadline is VERY soon - June 1. Be sure to get this online application done.  It does not ask for a doctor statement like the MSAA one does.

stay cool,
L

PS - you were smart to get that second opinion so you maybe can stop trying to guess if the doctor is right or noT

they are great Stan. go to the MSAA website.  If you can't find the cooling page, ask Lulu..she knows where it is.  you can download the app on your printer.  you need a letter from your neuro saying you have MS.....the jackets are free and they are very prompt with sending them, at least in the spring they were.  They come with 2 pas of jel packs (11 in each I think) and the jacket has 9 pockets........they just keep you cool, not chilly cool but are nice.
I can't live without mine now if the temp is over 70.......

Oh yes, the humidity makes breathing difficult (said as I RUN northward at a rapid pace)
Do you have a cooling jacket Stan?  If not, be sure and request one from MSAA.

Glad to hear you don't have to have surgery!
