Could my symptoms be MS

i have been having speech problems, forgetting simple words, talking and getting words reversed, I have had a shock like pain on my right cheek and also right arm at the same time. I have been having swollowing and choking issues too. It's been happening on and off for some time.

Everyone with MS is different. It depends on the location of lesions.  I had swallowing difficulty but I do not remember it because I was a toddler. Then I got double vision, left side weakness, vertigo, headaches, and cognitive issues. Now I have trouble walking.

When I was first diagnosed it was because of speech issues. I was slurring words and it took me a min to get what I wanted to say out. This happened every 10 mins or so.

My GP got me right in and did a neurological test. I was having balance issues as well. When she saw that she sent me for an immediate cat scan.

The cat scan didn't show anything. I had an mri the next week and blood work. The results came in the following week.

My vitamin D was non existant and my mri showed lesions. I got a referral to a neurologist and the rest is. History. My speech went back to normal 5 months later.

I hope this helps and hopefully you are alright.

I have an appointment with a neurologist next month. Hoping to get some answers. I already had a swallow test. They couldn't find anything. My daughter has MS, so I thought I'd better check into it. Just thought someone might share the same symptoms. My daughter's symptoms are different, then what I am experiencing.

I would go to my GP and get a neurological exam. That is reflexes etc. The doctor can then decide if you need to see a neurologist or not. The GP might send you for a swallow study for the choking.
