!WANTED! all your best tips for fighting fatigue

Undiagnosed here,

Of all my strange symptoms, I would say its the fatigue that I strugle with the most.

Im on a 5 day streak and its driving me crazy, I wanna clean my house, clean up my yard, go grocery shopping, and go enjoy life a little but I cant get past a shower and a bite to eat and down I go.

This is relatively new for me, so Im depending on those of you that have been toeing the line for years and offer any little tid bit that helps get you through this.

The one and only thing I have found that is helpful I save all my sitting stuff for my low days like coupon cutting, emails, bills, face book, and catching up on my dvr.

After 5 days Im going crazy, I did go to the park and laid in the grass as the kids ran around but the heat made me sick.

PLEASE HELP WITH ALL AND ANY TID BITS TO HELP FIGHT THE FATIGUE =)

THANK YOU EVERYONE

Fatigue is my biggest problem, right now, too.  I've tried Nuvigil, too, but all it does is keep me somewhat awake.  Do I feel alert? No.  Do I feel energized? No.  So I've stopped that too.  There have been a couple of times at work when doing paperwork between exams, I start to fall asleep.  At this point, I take a walk down the hall and back, and resume my paperwork.

I hear what Lulu is saying, but I've also read that a little exercise can help energize.  As much as we don't feel like it moving sometimes helps.  I don't mean running a marathon or riding a Metric Century, just a little Yoga, some stretching, a short walk...

Thanks everyone!

I do hate to hear that so many of you also are troubled with fatigue, but some great tips.

Me personally trying to go with out meds, Im still trying to be committed to my vitamins.

@ MonkeyMom4 is that like provigil, is it like amphetimine?

@allmymarbles I did have a lip biopsy and it trigered canker sores and I think that had an impact on me. I no longer have low bp and I try caffine but it never seems to help. Thanks

@Lulu your right rest helps I have learned that, but after a few days I just feel lazy and people around me dont get it and I start feeling weak minded and fall into the mind set that I just have to buck up and get over it.

It just seems like my mind and body are in a war.

I'm undx'd as well and have problems with fatigue too.

The neurologist prescribed Amantadine and said that it has been found helpful in people w/fatigue. For me it did nothing, I tried it for a month.

So I asked my primary doc if I could try Nuvigil and it has been AMAZING!! there have been 2 days in the past month that I've forgotten to take it and both those days were miserable and I couldn't make it through w/o a nap.

I would let your doctor know that you are having problems with fatigue.

Undx but going through another spell right now. It seems that the more I try pushing through it, the worse I feel so I have - without conscious effort - started cutting out workouts so I can save energy - for say, things like going to work :)  I also try and cut down on sugar since it seems to exaggerate the lows. But I am just a newbie so who knows lol

One possibility is low blood pressure. Taking in caffeine drinks and drinking plenty of fluids would help this. Another possibility is a low-grade infection. One could go on and on. Problems with the endocrine system can be involved, for instance.

Sure not me lol I've been fighting this darn fatigue for almost 1½yrs with very little time in between where I could do what I want. It doesn't matter how much I rest, I am just wore out and it drives me crazy.

Wish I could help you :( Hopefully someone can give you better advise. I'd like to hear it myself :)

My tip is pace yourself and don't push through the fatigue.  When you feel it, you MUST stop and let your body recover.

For some people that can mean they do a physical task for just  a few minutes and then stop and spend more time to recover.  If you push your body into a fatigued state it takes even longer to feel better.  So take your time, pace yourself, and try not to over do it.

Who else has tips?
Lulu
