I went to an MS specialist yesterday, and I feel so much better about getting this figured out than I felt when I was going to the another neurologist I've spoken of on here before. He found significant weakness in my left side. He tried pushing down on my arms while I had to resist, and the comparison with my right side was significant. The same thing happened with my leg, hand, and foot. He's hooking me up with a 3T brain and C-spine MRI with and without contrast. He told me that it'd probably end up taking about an hour. The other machine I had an MRI on was a 1.5 T and it wasn't done on my C-spine. It only lasted about 20-25 min., too. He said if they didn't find anything on my MRI, they'd do a spinal tap. So at least there's a future to all this. My other neuro just looked at me blankly and said, we'll try another MRI in six months. No evoked potentials, (by the way, the specialist did an optic nerve test on me while I was there yesterday), no spinal tap...nothing.
So what do you think about this whole left side weakness thing? What could that entail? Does that shed light on any part of what I might have?
Thanks!
