Which nerves enervate area below shoulder blade?

Does anyone happen to know which nerves enervate the area of the back just below the shoulder blade? And also the outer ear? Does the outer ear even have nerves?????????????? Could that be one of the cranial nerves and possibly for the shoulder a thoracic thingamagiggy?

My left foot tingling is back with burning and stabbing needle pains for the last few days, and I also have new tingling below shoulder blade and outer ear ache, as if I slept on ear the wrong way, but it started in the middle of the day and was fine when I woke up. Thinking heat might have something to do with it or at the very least the annoying foot thing. Foot has also been going numb and feeling like lead 5 mins into exercise recently.

Thanks for any insights / knowledge you might have. Kinda fed up here of the weird and wonderful world of apparently normal. LOL. Also working on getting a new primary doc.

I just wanted to say that I had extreme pain for years on my right side bbelow the shoulder blade. This started about four years before diagnosis. I had xray, bone density scan and physio.

I bbegged my doctor three times for an mri and even haad my dad come in with me to aask. The physio amplified my pain and it makes sense now knowing my spine was full of lesions.

I even had too stop working because of the pain. Can you tell I am stilll a little bitter lol.

Anyway I just wanted to share and tell you I know exactly where you are talking about and it is not fun!

Takkke care

Hi JJ,
Thanks for great info.
Just the foot thing happens with exercise. The ear and below shoulder blade with no trigger I can see. The foot thing is absolutely no doubt in my mind now triggered by heat. It is 70 here today and it is really bothering me.
Hope you are having a good day!

The outer ear does have nerves, Cranial nerve VII (facial nerves) i think it might technically be called 'referred otalgia' although referred otalgia is the sensation of ear pain from outside the ear, it might include numbness though to be honest i'm not sure if it does or not. I tried checking my thoughts out but tingling kept bringing up all sorts of things so it was a wild goose chase sorry.

These links (above) are really simple nerve function charts that lists everything.....Keep in mind that it's possible the tingling below your shoulder blade and outer ear may not be caused by the spine too, though it would seem likely if your foot stuff is back too.

Cheers........JJ

PS did this all happen after exercising?
