Worrying about MS in Your Kids

About two years ago, my daughter complained with numb hands.  She also had a severe case of hiccups that lasted several weeks.  This weekend she asked me what could be causing the numb spots on her head.  I tried not to make a big deal out of it, but I wonder if I should.  If I did not have MS, I would probably dismiss her complaints.  Am I overreacting?  Noticing things I shouldn't????

I would have your daughter go a get a annual physical exam, if she's not been, to rule out other causes.  Sometimes metabolic disorders will cause those symptoms, and this can easily be detected with some blood work.  Do you have a history of diabetes in your family?  This could be an explaination for the hiccups and numbness.

Hi there.. I'm sure if you have MS and kids... you would worry about all the symptoms that they say they feel... how old are your kids?

I would keep it in my mind and when or if it continues.. it matters how old they are too.. but keep it in mind and let the family dr know..

take care
