Here's a report on the Phase 3 trials of Plegridy from back in March of this year.

I believe the name comes from reference to a process used when a manufacturer wants the action of a drug to last longer..... so less frequent dosing will be possible.
One part of the report states, "Pledigry reduced the annual relapse of patients with multiple sclerosis by 36 percent and reduced the proportion of patients who relapsed by 39 percent."
I'm excited! I very much believe in the interferons to fight this beast. This schedule seems more than lifestyle convenient!
I look forward to learning more of it and how this formula and dosing schedule varies from the existing approved interferons.

Darn it. The URL doesn't transfer from a direct search. It was something he posted on 20 March. I commented because the trial I'm on for Biogen will have a similar schedule and I'm all over it. I have no taste for monthly much less weekly or daily intervention if I can avoid it!
Agreed. Kyle mentioned this name a few weeks back (obviously before the official submission) and it was definitely the first I'd heard about it!

Good to see a follow-up on it. Thanks, Laura!
