ive had bells palsy 6 times on my left side.what could be causing it to reacure

Sorry to hear about you having recurring episodes. It is true that the cause of Bells Palsy is not completely understood but some believe it may be caused by a virus. Talk to your doctor and see if it could possible be some other condition that involves your facial nerves, like Melkerson-Rosenthal Syndrome for example. But there is also a possibility that you could be in the lucky 10% of people that has recurring Bells palsy.

Hi there. That must be upsetting to have this recurring so often. We are not doctors here. We're just patients. There are several potential causes of Bell's Palsy, so I would suggest you bring this up to your doctor in precisely the same way you've mentioned it here. Try and provide them with the timeline of your experience with Bell's Palsy. I hope they are able to provide you with answers!
