Hi,
Ok your thyroid antibodies are way too high. Have they tested TSH, FT3 and FT4. These are the hormones that are tested to monitor thyroid function.
Hypothryoid (if you are low) can definitely cause a lot of what you are explaining. Hypothyroid needs to be ruled out when doing a workup for possible MS. MS and autoimmune thyroid problems can both occur together.
You may need to see an endocrinologist - actually you should if you haven't already. Even if hormone levels are normal, you need to be tested regularly and if your syptoms change, because that could change.
I have hypothyroid and am on life-time meds for it. I am in limbo land as far as neurological stuff goes.

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I am having a better day than yesterday, thanks for asking honey. How is your day going? I am going to p.m. more info on your thyroglobulin antibodies. I will get that to you shortly, Sweetie.
I thought I sent a reply yesterday. I must have not posted it. It doesn't surprise me. I often get distracted. Anyway, I have more of the symptoms of hypo rather than hyper. I don't know what the 414 on thyroglobulin antibodies means. I have pain, weakness, brain fog, memory problems, intolerance to hot water (but get cold very easily), IBS, temperature 96.6F, blood pressure 90/60, and on and on. I have been diagnosed as fibromyalgia and IBS. How are you doing? Today is my birthday. YIPPEE!!! I'm 35!!!
Honey, I can see why you are confused. My take on the throglobulin antibodies is that they are monitoring your thyroid for hyperthyroidism. Here is what I found on hyperthyroidism:
"If a thyroid disorder creates excessive amounts of thyroid hormone, the result is hyperthyroidism and the acceleration of body functions. This can lead to symptoms such as increased heart rate, anxiety, weight loss, difficulty sleeping, tremors in the hands, weakness, and sometimes diarrhea. There may be puffiness around the eyes, dryness, irritation, and, in some cases, bulging of the eyes. The affected person may experience light sensitivity and visual disturbances. Because the eyes may not move normally, the person may appear to be staring."
Are you having any of these symptoms?
