I have not yet been diagnosed and have a neuro appointment in a week.  My question is:  For those that have not been diagnosed as of yet, do you experience it? I haven been experiencing it for 6 weeks straight, serveral time in a row while falling asleep.

I do not have this condition but I have an uncle that had symptoms like this as well as all three of his children. He was diagnosed with Hypokalemia. Almost every night their entire body becomes paralyzed and stays that way most of the night. I think it has to do with low potassium levels. I think the symptoms vary for everyone and also depends on how low the levels are. From what I was told, my uncle could only absorb very little, if any potassium. I hope this helps! Good luck with everything. Keep us posted!!

Hi, I am not diagnosed, just went to the doctor today and and told her my symptoms and had a lot of blood drawn. Anyway, I have had something similar in the last four weeks. It happened last on Sunday. I was just laying down on my side, resting, when suddenly it felt like someone was squeezing me around my middle. All of my muscles tensed and I couldn't move. I'm not sure exactly how long it lasted. Maybe a couple of minutes. My muscles were sore afterward. It is scary having these symptoms and not knowing what is causing them. I hope your appointment goes well :)
