Numbness

Hi Group,

Last week for the first time my left index finger tip went totally numb for about 10 min.  Tonight about 15 min ago it happened to my right index finger.   I am not dx yet, have 6 more tests to go thru, 2 this weekend, 2nd brain MRI and EMG.  I plan on mentioning it to my doc, just curious if it's another symtom.  Thanks as always.

Thanks much Sally.  No apparent reason at all either time.  Will tell the doc on Sat. and see what he thinks.  I appreciate your feedback, thanks again.

Hi Smitty,

Don't feel ignored, think it's something to do with time zones and peoples on-line habits.  Answers don't always come so quickly.

It the numbness had just happened once I would probably not mention it.  The fact that it has now happened again, it should be mentioned.  May well be a symptom.  A bit strange though that it's just the forefinger of one hand and now the forefinger of the other hand.

Is there anything else to explain it?  Like funny hand position, or leaning on something that may compress the nerve to cause numbness.
